Florida Licensed Clinical DRG Auditor

Job Summary

Seeking a Florida Licensed Clinical DRG Auditor, this remote position will perform DRG validation reviews of medical records, ensuring accurate coding and compliance with established guidelines while maintaining productivity and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct audits of medical record documentation to verify the accuracy of diagnosis and procedure codes, adhering to official coding guidelines
• Assist in training and mentoring new Coders or Clinical DRG Auditors, providing feedback and education
• Maintain current knowledge of coding guidelines and complete required continuing education to uphold RN licensure and coding certification

Required qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN licensure in the United States and the state of primary home residency
• At least one coding certification (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CIC, CCDS, or CPC) required and must be maintained
• 3+ years of clinical experience in an inpatient hospital setting
• 2+ years of MS DRG/APR DRG coding or auditing experience with expert knowledge of ICD-10 coding guidelines
• Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office and virtual meeting tools
