Job Summary
To support a multispecialty ambulatory environment, the full-time Florida Licensed Coding Educator will perform comprehensive audits of professional coding and clinical documentation, validate coding accuracy, and deliver targeted education to coders and providers in a fully remote setting.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct prospective and retrospective audits of coding and medical records to ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations
- Document audit findings clearly and objectively, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement
- Develop and deliver education to coders and clinical departments based on audit results and coding updates
Required qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- One or more coding certifications such as CPC, CCS, or CCS-P
- Minimum of five years of professional coding experience, preferably in a large academic or multispecialty setting
- Prior experience in coding audits and education strongly preferred
- Expert knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines
