Job Summary
To ensure accurate and efficient coding across multiple facilities, the full-time Florida Licensed Coding Liaison will perform chart reviews, resolve coding issues, and provide education while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct focused reviews for accuracy of diagnoses and procedure codes to ensure compliance and optimal reimbursement
- Maintain high standards of coding quality by assigning accurate codes and providing feedback on coding-related issues
- Develop and present educational materials to stakeholders to support compliant coding practices
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's or Associate degree in Health Information Management or completion of a coding certificate program
- CCS, RHIA, RHIT, CPC, or COC certification required
- Thorough knowledge of official coding guidelines as per AMA, AHA, and CMS
- 7 years of relevant inpatient and/or outpatient coding experience required
- Advanced knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology required
