Florida Licensed Construction Expert
Job Summary
To support legal teams and insurance carriers, the full-time Florida Licensed Construction Expert will provide expert testimony and analysis on construction disputes, manage project portfolios, and collaborate with marketing teams to develop strategies, all while working remotely from South Florida.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the designated Expert Witness for lawsuits and insurance claims, providing testimony during depositions, arbitrations, and trials
- Conduct building inspections and property condition assessments, documenting findings and preparing detailed reports
- Analyze construction and legal documents, preparing scopes of work, cost estimates, and technical reports for clients
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of construction experience or a combination of relevant education and field experience
- General Contractor License
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or a related field (advanced degree or professional license preferred)
- Prior experience as a designated Expert Witness in construction-related litigation
- Applicable licenses and certifications that support expertise in the construction field
