Florida Licensed Consumer Access Specialist

Job Summary

To support patient financial services, the full-time Florida Licensed Consumer Access Specialist will perform Medicare compliance reviews, create financial estimates, and coordinate with insurance companies, all while working remotely during scheduled shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct Medicare compliance reviews and issue Advance Beneficiary Notices of Noncoverage as needed
• Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits, and manage pre-authorizations within established timeframes
• Provide excellent customer service while documenting all patient interactions and coordinating with various departments to enhance the patient experience

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (required); Associate degree (preferred)
• Experience in customer service (1+ years preferred)
• Familiarity with healthcare revenue cycle processes (1+ years preferred)
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance benefits
• Certification as a Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) or Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) is preferred
