Florida Licensed Contracts Counsel
Job Summary
To support the growth of a dynamic legal department, the full-time Florida Licensed Contracts Counsel will manage the full agreement lifecycle, including drafting, negotiating, and overseeing various contracts, while working remotely from Fort Lauderdale.
Key responsibilities
- Own the full agreement lifecycle from drafting to renewal for vendor, technology, licensing, and consulting agreements
- Advise on healthcare and insurance regulations, including HIPAA and Business Associate Agreements, ensuring compliance across contracts
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and train stakeholders on contract management processes and performance reporting
Required qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school with active bar membership (Florida Bar preferred)
- 3-5 years of legal experience focused on commercial contracts, preferably in-house
- Demonstrated experience with healthcare and insurance contracts, including HIPAA compliance
- Proven ability to draft and negotiate complex agreements and communicate risks to senior stakeholders
- Experience enhancing contract-review processes with technology and tools
