Job Summary
To support a growing healthcare practice, the full-time Florida Licensed Financial Counselor will manage patient interactions related to self-pay accounts, analyze financial responsibilities, and establish payment arrangements while working remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to a high volume of incoming patient calls regarding billing inquiries and payment concerns
- Analyze self-pay balances and establish payment arrangements while ensuring timely follow-up
- Process patient payments accurately and resolve billing issues while maintaining excellent customer service
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 5 years of prior medical billing experience or equivalent required
- Working knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding required
- Demonstrated understanding of Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and reimbursement practices
