Florida Licensed Inpatient Coder

Job Summary

To enhance departmental performance, the full-time Florida Licensed Inpatient Coder will review and analyze medical records, assign appropriate diagnostic and procedural codes, and collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure compliance with coding guidelines while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Reviews and analyzes medical records to assign appropriate diagnostic and procedural codes
• Collaborates with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and resolves coding discrepancies
• Audits coded data and monitors productivity and quality metrics to support billing accuracy

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma required
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification required at time of hire
• Minimum of three (3) years of physician coding experience required, preferably within radiology or specialty practices
• Experience with ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding required
• Experience with healthcare billing and reimbursement processes required
