Job Summary
To support healthcare operations, the full-time Florida Licensed Medical Coding Representative will apply CPT-4 and ICD-10 codes to pathology reports, manage coding discrepancies, and perform clerical functions in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Apply CPT-4 and ICD-10 codes accurately and timely by translating dictated pathology reports
- Respond to the accounts receivable department regarding coding discrepancies due to payor denials
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, peers, and billing representatives to ensure the proper flow of information
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or higher
- Active and unrestricted AAPC CPC license
- 2+ years of experience in medical coding
