Job Summary
To support laboratory operations, the full-time Florida Licensed Medical Lab Scientist will evaluate and analyze blood and body fluids, ensuring quality results while adhering to established policies and procedures in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluates specimens for quality and preanalytical errors while verifying results for accuracy and reliability
- Performs quality control, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures, documenting all activities
- Communicates critical results to patient caregivers and assists in training new team members
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; an Associate's degree with two years of related experience may substitute
- Successful completion of an approved clinical laboratory training internship
- Current Florida license as a Medical Technologist in required specialties
- Preferred national certification (ASCP, AAB, or AMT)
- Minimum of one year of relevant experience
