Florida Licensed Mortgage Consultant
Job Summary
To support mortgage application processes, the full-time Florida Licensed Mortgage Consultant will originate applications by phone, maintain effective communication with members and stakeholders, and ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Interviews members to gather and input accurate information into mortgage and consumer loan origination systems
- Communicates with members throughout the decision-making process and notifies them of loan decisions
- Reviews documentation for compliance with underwriting guidelines and submits applications to underwriters with recommendations
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of mortgage lending experience with a financial institution
- Good knowledge of regulatory compliance including TRID, HMDA, ECOA, FNMA, and PMI
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex problems effectively
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact with members, staff, and regulators
