Florida Licensed Oncology Data Specialist
Job Summary
To support oncology services, the full-time Florida Licensed Oncology Data Specialist will identify clinical discrepancies, track cancer patients longitudinally, and maintain accurate data submissions while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and escalate clinical variability or documentation discrepancies to leadership for timely intervention
- Track cancer patients longitudinally to ensure follow-up and meet regulatory deadlines
- Maintain a professional work environment and complete independent validation of data abstraction prior to registry submission
Required qualifications
- Associate degree in Healthcare or Health Information Management
- Completion of education program and/or work experience required for Certified Tumor Registrar
- 2+ years of cancer registry abstraction experience
- Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) certification
- Proficient knowledge and use of Microsoft 365 applications
