Job Summary
To support a growing network of dental consultants, the part-time Florida Licensed Periodontist Consultant will review insurance claims for medical necessity and eligibility, process appeals, and communicate outcomes to dentists and plan members while utilizing Overjet's dental AI technology.
Key responsibilities:
- Authorize or deny predeterminations and claims by reviewing radiographs and supporting documentation
- Evaluate appeals, request additional information, and make revised claim decisions
- Participate in training sessions and provide feedback to enhance claims review accuracy and productivity
Required qualifications:
- D.D.S. or D.M.D. from an accredited dental school
- Board certification in Periodontics
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience
- Prior claims review experience strongly preferred (2+ years)
- Active, unrestricted dental license in the state of Florida
