Job Summary
Seeking a remote full-time Florida Licensed Plans Examiner, the candidate will review construction plans for compliance with the Florida Building Code and related regulations while coordinating with various departments and providing guidance to ensure adherence to standards.
Key responsibilities
- Review construction plans and specifications for compliance with the Florida Building Code and local ordinances
- Communicate deficiencies and required corrections to architects, engineers, and contractors
- Coordinate plan reviews with other departments and respond to inquiries regarding building code requirements
Required qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience as a Plans Examiner in Florida
- Valid Florida Plans Examiner License (RPX or PX) required
- Valid Florida driver's license and ability to travel within the jurisdiction
- Proficiency with inspection software and digital reporting systems
