Florida Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Job Summary
To support a growing mental health practice, the full-time Florida Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will assess patients' mental and physical health, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop treatment plans, and provide psychotherapy and medication management while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct assessments, diagnose psychiatric disorders, and provide individual psychotherapy to patients across the lifespan
- Prescribe medications, monitor usage and side effects, and educate patients and families about treatment options
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) and ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulations
Required qualifications
- 2 years of experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner
- Currently holds a Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner license (PMHNP)
- Experience in Addiction and Mental Health
- Ability to work with adults in need of general mental health and/or severe mental illness treatment
- Knowledge of mental health diagnoses and treatment planning
