Florida Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Job Summary
To support a growing practice, the full-time Florida Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will assess patients' mental and physical health, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop treatment plans, and conduct individual psychotherapy, all while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Diagnose psychiatric disorders and conduct individual psychotherapy for patients across the lifespan
- Order diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and monitor patients' medication usage and side effects
- Document patient histories and treatment plans in compliance with HIPAA and national standards of care
Required qualifications
- 2 years of experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner
- Currently holds a Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner license (PMHNP)
- Experience in Addiction and Mental Health
- Knowledge of mental health diagnoses and/or substance abuse dual-diagnoses
- Experience working with adults in need of general mental health and/or severe mental illness treatment
