Florida Licensed Referral Agent

Job Summary

To support patient care coordination, the part-time Florida Licensed Referral Agent will manage inbound calls, facilitate referrals to specialists, and ensure timely communication with patients and providers in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Answer inbound phone calls professionally and assist referring providers in coordinating patient care
• Contact insurance companies for prior authorizations and verify in-network providers
• Maintain accurate documentation in the referral tracking database and communicate with clinical staff regarding referrals

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred
• Previous call center experience or similar role required
• Knowledge of TJC requirements and local, state, and federal regulations
• Computer proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Experience in various clinical areas, either inpatient or outpatient, preferred
