Job Summary
To support a high-acuity emergency department, the full-time Florida Licensed Registered Nurse will provide critical patient care from 1:00 PM to 1:00 AM, demonstrating advanced nursing skills and collaborating with medical staff to manage complex patient conditions.
Key responsibilities
- Demonstrates critical knowledge and skills to care for patients requiring high-level interventions and continuous monitoring
- Assesses patient needs, develops individualized care plans, and evaluates progress toward expected outcomes
- Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to effectively manage patient care and serves as a mentor and role model for staff
Required qualifications
- Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Florida or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications preferred
- Minimum of one year of experience as a Registered Nurse; 2-3 years in an Emergency Department setting highly preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree (BSN) preferred
- Ability to demonstrate advanced knowledge and skills necessary for age-specific patient care
