Job Summary
To enhance medication management and improve patient outcomes, the full-time Florida Licensed Senior Clinical Pharmacist will develop and implement formularies for complex medications, monitor prior authorization requests, and provide clinical guidance in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Develop clinical criteria and custom formularies for complex medications, recommending plan design changes
- Monitor and review prior authorization and appeal requests for specialized medications
- Analyze pharmacy data and trends to support clinical program initiatives and improve medication safety
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (Pharm.D., M.S.) in pharmacy
- 4+ years of experience in mail order, retail, hospital, or managed care pharmacy, or completion of a pharmacy residency program
- Current Florida Pharmacist license with no restrictions
- Ability to develop and implement medication therapy management programs
- Experience in analyzing pharmacy cost of care and developing appropriate use protocols
