Job Summary
Evaluating applications for workers compensation insurance, the full-time Florida Licensed Senior Underwriter will manage risk assessments, pricing strategies, and compliance with underwriting guidelines while cultivating relationships with producers.
Key responsibilities
- Adhere to underwriting guidelines and execute pricing strategies to maintain profitability goals
- Review and analyze risk characteristics on insurance applications, renewals, and change requests
- Collaborate closely with the underwriting team to finalize insurance applications efficiently
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of related experience
- Minimum 5-10 years of Workers Compensation underwriting or related insurance experience
- Experience underwriting risk for classes such as construction, hospitality, real estate, and manufacturing
- CPCU, CIC, CRIS, or Property & Casualty Brokers License is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to quickly learn industry-specific software
