Job Summary
To support a team of nurse practitioners, the part-time contract Florida Licensed Supervising Physician will establish supervisory protocols, conduct regular consultations, and review patient care remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Establish written supervisory protocols with nurse practitioners regarding their scope of practice and prescribing parameters
- Conduct regular meetings with nurse practitioners to review care quality and provide clinical consultation
- Review a sample of each nurse practitioner's patient charts and arrange alternate physician coverage as needed
Required qualifications
- MD or DO with an active, unrestricted Florida medical license
- Board certified in psychiatry, internal medicine, family medicine, or geriatrics
- No history of disciplinary action
- Comfortable supporting telehealth practice with an older adult population
- Current malpractice coverage that includes supervision
