Florida Licensed Surgical Charge Auditor
Job Summary
Auditing procedural patient records in the Cardiovascular Department, the full-time Florida Licensed Surgical Charge Auditor will ensure accurate charges and clinical documentation for OR/Cardiac Cath procedures while working remotely from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
Key responsibilities
- Audit procedural patient records for appropriate charges and clinical documentation
- Review and verify the accuracy of charges entered for OR/Cardiac Cath procedures
- Educate staff on charging and documentation updates and best practices
Required qualifications
- Associate degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Emergency Medical Services, Nursing, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy
- Experience in charge capture and inventory management
- Operating Room/Cath lab/Interventional Radiology coding experience
- Knowledge of electronic medical records and proficiency in Excel and Word
- Preferred certifications include RCIS, RCES, NREMT, CBCS, RT-LIC, or RRT
