Supervising day-to-day underwriting operations, the full-time Florida Licensed Underwriting Manager will establish priorities, manage staff performance, and ensure adherence to underwriting standards while enjoying a hybrid or remote work schedule.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee underwriting operations, scheduling work, and resolving complex issues
- Conduct performance reviews for underwriting staff and manage performance-related issues
- Collaborate with senior management on underwriting policy and strategy improvements
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; undergraduate education preferred
- Five to seven years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Successful completion of the API Designation course required
- CPCU or other insurance industry designation is desirable
