Job Summary
Supporting the Director of Food Systems and Agriculture Policy, the full-time Food Systems Policy Analyst will conduct research, produce policy communications, and manage programming related to food systems and agriculture policy in a hybrid work environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Produce research, white papers, and policy briefs on food systems and agriculture topics
- Fact-check and copyedit policy products while managing administrative functions
- Support programming and public events, fostering relationships with stakeholders and partners
Required qualifications:
- Advanced degree (master's) in food policy, agriculture, environmental law, public policy, or related field preferred
- Five years of experience in food systems regulation, agricultural policy, or rural economic development
- Familiarity with federal and state agriculture programs and USDA policy preferred
- Demonstrated maturity, creativity, and initiative
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and perform complex tasks
