Forward Deployed Engineer
Job Summary
To support enterprise customers in modernizing their API infrastructure, the full-time Forward Deployed Engineer will engage in hands-on implementation, automation, and solution engineering while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with enterprise customers to design and implement Kong-based solutions across various environments
- Lead implementation efforts for API gateways, AI gateways, and related connectivity technologies
- Build automation frameworks and migration tooling to facilitate customer adoption and modernization initiatives
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in customer-facing engineering, platform engineering, or software engineering roles
- Strong hands-on experience with API gateways, distributed systems, and cloud-native infrastructure
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, or JavaScript
- Experience with major cloud providers including AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code and automation tools like Terraform or Ansible
