Forward Deployed Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a full-time Forward Deployed Engineer to work remotely, this role focuses on partnering with enterprise customers to implement Kong's API and AI Connectivity platform through hands-on solution engineering, automation, and migration tooling.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build, and implement Kong-based solutions across various environments for enterprise customers
- Lead implementation efforts for API gateways, AI gateways, and related connectivity technologies
- Develop production-grade code, automation frameworks, and reusable technical assets to facilitate customer adoption
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in customer-facing engineering, platform engineering, or software engineering roles
- Strong hands-on experience with API gateways, distributed systems, and cloud-native infrastructure
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, JavaScript, or Lua
- Expertise in Kubernetes and automation tooling, including Terraform and Ansible
- Experience with major cloud providers like AWS, Azure, or GCP
