Job Summary
To support the strategic priorities of the organization, the full-time salaried Foundation Senior Director will cultivate, solicit, and steward philanthropic donors while leading fundraising initiatives and developing strategic partnerships within the Birmingham area.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a donor portfolio, including prospect interactions, fundraising campaigns, and stewardship efforts
- Lead strategy development for Foundation cultivation and fundraising, while mentoring staff and volunteers
- Serve as an ambassador for the Foundation at community and corporate events, maintaining relationships with current and potential donors
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required; Master's level education preferred
- Recommended Fundraising Certificate
- Eight to ten years of not-for-profit or related experience, including management and development of staff
- Experience with board, committee, or community involvement
- Preferred background in executive-level roles within the nonprofit or healthcare service sectors
