Founder Relations Associate

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Founder Relations Associate will manage initial conversations with founders, guiding them through the fundraising process while building and maintaining relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct first conversations with founders to provide insights on their fundraising efforts and determine if Pairs is the right fit
• Capture and communicate key information about the founder's company, including traction, runway, and investor interest
• Schedule follow-up conversations and maintain relationships with founders who are not yet ready to engage

Required qualifications

• Experience working closely with founders in roles such as at an accelerator, VC platform, or startup
• Proven ability to convert conversations into commitments, especially with hesitant founders
• Understanding of fundraising processes, including stages, round structures, and investor dynamics
• Strong ability to set realistic expectations and maintain integrity in promises made to founders
• Familiarity with AI tools and their effective application in a professional context
