Founding Data Scientist

Job Summary

As the founding member of the data science function, the full-time remote Founding Data Scientist will manage the research agenda, build algorithms for hormone tracking, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate data into actionable insights for a consumer health app.

Key responsibilities

• Build and enhance algorithms and data-driven insights for the Mira App
• Analyze various data to identify patterns and opportunities for product improvement
• Develop and validate predictive models for ovulation, cycle modeling, and personalized recommendations

Required qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Python and data science; SQL experience preferred
• Experience with model interpretability methods such as SHAP and LIME
• Demonstrated ability to translate data into user-facing product features
• Experience in building models that have influenced product or clinical decisions
• Strong judgment in model validation and handling data challenges
