Job Summary
As the first designer in a hybrid role, the Founding Product Designer will own the end-to-end user experience, establish Knit's design system, and enhance product interactions while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities
- Own design projects from concept through production, collaborating with PMs and engineers to deliver high-quality products
- Build and maintain Knit's design system, ensuring visual quality and consistency across interfaces
- Continuously evaluate and improve the product experience by simplifying workflows and enhancing usability
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of product design experience, particularly in early-stage startups
- Proven experience in building and maintaining scalable design systems
- Ability to work quickly in fast-paced environments, balancing speed and quality in design execution
- A strong portfolio showcasing exceptional visual design and attention to detail
- Experience conducting user research to inform design decisions and improve user experiences
