FPGA Test Engineer

Job Summary

To support advanced FPGA testing initiatives, the hybrid FPGA Test Engineer will develop and execute verification procedures, perform on-target testing of FPGA designs, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, working partially onsite in El Segundo, Huntington Beach, or Mountain View, California, or Fairfax, Virginia.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, review, and execute requirements-based verification and validation procedures for FPGA and SoC-based hardware
• Perform on-target testing of FPGA designs and analyze system requirements to translate them into test objectives and procedures
• Document test methods, results, and findings while providing technical leadership and mentoring to less-experienced engineers

Required qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related technical field
• 8-10 years of experience with FPGA/SOC technologies and digital hardware in a laboratory environment
• Experience developing and executing requirements-based verification or validation tests
• Ability to interpret hardware and system requirements to develop corresponding test procedures
• Experience documenting test plans, procedures, and results, and working effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams
