Fractional Video Director

Job Summary

To enhance video production quality and efficiency, the part-time Fractional Video Director will manage video standards, source and oversee vendors, and build a streamlined production workflow while working remotely with occasional client meetings in the Toronto area.

Key responsibilities

• Own video quality standards and the QA process from script to final cut
• Source, vet, and manage video vendors and freelancers, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness
• Build a repeatable production workflow, including in-house editing and scripting when beneficial

Required qualifications

• 10+ years in video or film production, with experience in creative director or senior producer roles
• Proven experience managing video production at scale across multiple vendors and freelancers
• Strong understanding of YouTube dynamics, including titles, hooks, and video discoverability
• Ability to confidently engage with clients and defend creative decisions
• Practical knowledge of AI video tools and their applications in production
