Fraud Risk Assessment Consultant

Job Summary

To support the DHA VHA in establishing a Fraud Rapid Response Center, the remote Fraud Risk Assessment Consultant will evaluate fraud vulnerabilities, assess internal controls, and develop actionable recommendations to enhance fraud prevention and monitoring across VHA programs.

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct fraud risk assessments to identify and prioritize fraud vulnerabilities across VHA programs
• Evaluate program processes and existing internal controls, providing recommendations to strengthen program integrity
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings and develop risk governance reports and dashboards

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• Active Public Trust Clearance
• 3-5+ years of relevant experience in fraud risk assessments and management
• Working knowledge of fraud risk management frameworks, including the GAO Fraud Risk Framework
• Experience in assessing inherent and residual risk and documenting findings
