Fraud Risk Assessment Consultant

Job Summary

To support the DHA VHA in establishing a Fraud Rapid Response Center, the remote Fraud Risk Assessment Consultant will conduct fraud risk assessments, evaluate internal controls, and develop actionable recommendations to enhance fraud prevention and monitoring across VHA programs.

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct fraud risk assessments to identify and prioritize vulnerabilities across VHA programs
• Evaluate program processes and internal controls, recommending enhancements to strengthen program integrity
• Develop training materials and knowledge transfer resources to sustain fraud risk management activities

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• Active Public Trust Clearance
• 3-5+ years of experience in fraud risk assessments or related fields
• Working knowledge of fraud risk management frameworks, including the GAO Fraud Risk Framework
• Experience assessing inherent and residual risk and evaluating controls
