Fraud Strategy Specialist

Job Summary

Owning fraud performance across payment instruments, the full-time remote Fraud Strategy Specialist will manage fraud detection and prevention strategies, optimize customer experience, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance payment security.

Key responsibilities

• Own fraud performance for payment instruments, diagnosing root causes and designing effective controls
• Optimize customer experience by applying appropriate levels of friction through various authentication methods and product changes
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to integrate fraud controls into payment processes seamlessly

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field or equivalent practical experience
• 4-6 years of experience in fraud or payment risk with expertise in payment instrument mechanics
• Strong knowledge of 3DS and step-up authentication methods
• Deep understanding of payment systems, including ACH and chargeback mechanics
• Advanced skills in SQL and Python for data analysis
