Freelance Cybersecurity Reporter

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced freelance Cybersecurity Reporter to work remotely on a contract basis, focusing on researching and writing long-form articles related to legal, regulatory, compliance, and operational aspects of cybersecurity and anti-corruption, while developing industry relationships and identifying relevant topics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research and write long-form articles based on interviews and interactions with industry experts, covering developments in regulations, laws, and best practices
• Identify article topics and trends central to subscribers' business practices through engagement with sources and information gathering
• Develop and maintain relationships with key industry participants to gather intelligence and explore collaboration opportunities

Required Qualifications:

• At least three years of reporting or analyst experience, preferably covering legal topics related to AI, privacy, cybersecurity, or anti-corruption
• Demonstrated ability to create engaging, thorough long-form articles under deadline with minimal editing required
• Juris Doctor or equivalent law degree preferred but not required
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent proofreading skills
