Freelance Design Associate Director

Job Summary

Seeking a Freelance Design Associate Director who will execute design projects from conception to execution, producing a variety of deliverables including online, print, and multimedia assets, while working remotely on a contract basis.

Key responsibilities:

• Execute projects, producing sketches, storyboards, and 2D animations that align with IBM's brand vision
• Communicate conceptual ideas and detailed design rationale to stakeholders, ensuring quality control and effective delivery
• Contribute to style guides and design documents, collaborating with senior team members to prioritize tasks and maintain design fidelity

Required qualifications:

• Proven experience designing across various media, with a strong portfolio showcasing branding and animation skills
• High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and MS Office, with additional skills in motion and 3D design preferred
• Strong understanding of typography, layout, and design systems to solve complex design challenges
• Ability to take direction and adapt designs across platforms while actively seeking feedback for improvement
• Passionate about innovative design, with a keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills
