Job Summary
Working remotely as a Freelance Edit Assistant, the ideal candidate will support the in-house and freelance editors by managing video footage, syncing audio and video, and assisting with timeline assembly for a dynamic digital media company focused on science education.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and organize video footage, assets, and archives
- Sync multiple cameras and audio sources into sync maps and assist with timeline assembly edits
- Source B-Roll footage and create transcripts or reference files to accompany raw footage
Required qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in edit assisting or junior editing, particularly in digital content creation
- Proficiency in video editing software, especially Adobe Premiere and the Creative Cloud
- Strong understanding of YouTube and social media platforms for content optimization
- A passion for physics and science
- Experience with organizing and labeling video rushes
