Freelance Icelandic Linguist
Job Summary
To support international localization projects, the Freelance Icelandic Linguist will perform post-editing of AI-generated content, provide human translation as needed, and ensure linguistic accuracy in IT and software-related materials while working remotely on a long-term basis.
Key responsibilities
- Perform post-editing of AI-generated content and provide human translation when required
- Review and edit translated content for linguistic accuracy, fluency, and consistency
- Work on IT and software-related content following project-specific guidelines and terminology
Required qualifications
- Native-level proficiency in Icelandic
- At least 3 years of professional experience as a linguist, translator, or MTPE specialist
- Proven experience in IT/software localization
- Excellent command of Icelandic grammar, style, and terminology
- Familiarity with CAT tools and localization workflows is highly desirable
