Freelance Mechanical CFD Engineer

Job Summary

To support the training and evaluation of AI agents, the part-time Freelance Mechanical CFD Engineer will assist in fluid simulation tasks by setting up simulations, building verified reference solutions, and writing Python checks for results, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Train and evaluate AI agents on expert-level fluid simulation tasks using CAD geometry
• Set up and run simulations while building verified reference solutions
• Develop Python checks for validating the agent's results

Required qualifications

• A degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or a related field; a PhD is preferred
• Several years of hands-on industry or research experience with CFD tools such as OpenFOAM, ANSYS Fluent/CFX, or STAR-CCM+
• Solid understanding of verification and validation practices, including mesh-independence studies
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with GitHub
• English proficiency at B2 level or above
