Freelance Mechanical CFD Engineer

Job Summary

To support the training and evaluation of AI agents on fluid simulation tasks, the part-time Freelance Mechanical CFD Engineer will set up and run simulations, build verified reference solutions, and write Python checks for the agent's results in a remote capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Train and evaluate AI agents on expert-level fluid simulation tasks using CAD geometry
• Set up and run simulations while building verified reference solutions
• Write Python checks to validate the results produced by the AI agents

Required qualifications

• A degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or a related field; a PhD is preferred
• Several years of hands-on industry or research experience with CFD tools such as OpenFOAM, ANSYS Fluent/CFX, or STAR-CCM+
• Experience with verification and validation practices, including mesh-independence studies
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with GitHub
• English proficiency at B2 level or above
