Freelance Mechanical CFD Engineer

Job Summary

To support AI training initiatives, the part-time Freelance Mechanical CFD Engineer will help evaluate AI agents on fluid simulation tasks by setting up simulations, building verified reference solutions, and writing Python checks for results, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Train and evaluate AI agents on expert-level fluid simulation tasks
• Set up and run simulations using CAD geometry and build verified reference solutions
• Write Python checks to validate the results produced by AI agents

Required qualifications

• A degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or a related field; a PhD is preferred
• Several years of hands-on industry or research experience with CFD tools such as OpenFOAM, ANSYS Fluent/CFX, or STAR-CCM+
• Strong verification and validation practices, including mesh-independence studies
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with GitHub
• English language proficiency at B2 level or above
