Freelance Mechanical CFD Engineer

Job Summary

To support the training and evaluation of AI agents on expert-level fluid simulation tasks, the part-time Freelance Mechanical CFD Engineer will work remotely to set up and run simulations, build verified reference solutions, and write Python checks for the agent's results.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and run fluid simulations using CAD geometry and relevant software tools
• Build verified reference solutions and conduct verification and validation practices
• Write Python checks to evaluate the accuracy of the AI agent's results

Required qualifications

• A degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or a related field; a PhD is preferred
• Several years of hands-on industry or research experience with CFD tools such as OpenFOAM, ANSYS Fluent/CFX, or STAR-CCM+
• Experience in conducting mesh-independence studies and validation against experimental benchmarks
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with GitHub
• English proficiency at B2 level or above
