Freelance Mechanical CFD Engineer

Job Summary

To support AI training and evaluation on fluid simulation tasks, the part-time Freelance Mechanical CFD Engineer will assist in setting up simulations, building reference solutions, and writing Python checks for AI agent results in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Train and evaluate AI agents on expert-level fluid simulation tasks using CAD geometry
• Set up and run simulations, ensuring solid verification and validation practices
• Write Python checks to validate the results produced by AI agents

Required qualifications

• A degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or a related field; a PhD is preferred
• Several years of hands-on industry or research experience with CFD tools such as OpenFOAM, ANSYS Fluent/CFX, or STAR-CCM+
• Experience in verification and validation practices, including mesh-independence studies
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with GitHub
• English language proficiency at B2 level or above
