Freelance Mechanical CFD Engineer

Job Summary

To support the development of AI agents, the part-time Freelance Mechanical CFD Engineer will train and evaluate fluid simulation tasks by setting up simulations, building reference solutions, and writing Python checks for results, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Train and evaluate AI agents on expert-level fluid simulation tasks using CAD geometry
• Set up and run simulations, ensuring accurate results through verification and validation practices
• Write Python checks to assess the accuracy of the agent's simulation results

Required qualifications

• A degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or a related field; a PhD is preferred
• Several years of hands-on industry or research experience with CFD tools such as OpenFOAM, ANSYS Fluent/CFX, or STAR-CCM+
• Experience with verification and validation practices, including mesh-independence studies
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with GitHub
• English language proficiency at B2 level or above
