Freelance Mechanical CFD Engineer

Job Summary

To support AI training initiatives, the part-time Freelance Mechanical CFD Engineer will evaluate and train AI agents on fluid simulation tasks, including setting up simulations and writing Python checks, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Train and evaluate AI agents on expert-level fluid simulation tasks using CAD geometry
• Set up and run simulations, building verified reference solutions for validation
• Write Python checks to assess the accuracy of the agent's results

Required qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or a related field; PhD preferred
• Several years of hands-on industry or research experience with CFD tools such as OpenFOAM, ANSYS Fluent/CFX, or STAR-CCM+
• Strong background in verification and validation practices, including mesh-independence studies
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with GitHub
• English proficiency at B2 level or above
