Freelance Mechanical CFD Engineer

Job Summary

To support the training and evaluation of AI agents in fluid simulation tasks, the part-time Freelance Mechanical CFD Engineer will remotely assist in setting up simulations, building reference solutions, and writing Python checks for results.

Key responsibilities

• Train and evaluate AI agents on expert-level fluid simulation tasks using CAD geometry
• Set up and run simulations while building verified reference solutions
• Write Python checks to validate the results of the AI agents

Required qualifications

• A degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or a related field; a PhD is preferred
• Several years of hands-on industry or research experience with CFD tools such as OpenFOAM or ANSYS Fluent
• Solid practice in verification and validation, including mesh-independence studies
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with GitHub
• English proficiency at B2 level or above
