Freelance Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely on a part-time basis, the Freelance Mechanical CFD Engineer will help train and evaluate AI agents on fluid simulation tasks by setting up simulations, building verified reference solutions, and writing Python checks for results.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and run fluid simulations using CAD geometry
• Build verified reference solutions and conduct verification and validation practices
• Write Python checks for evaluating AI agent results

Required qualifications

• A degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or a related field; PhD preferred
• Several years of hands-on industry or research experience with CFD tools like OpenFOAM, ANSYS Fluent/CFX, or STAR-CCM+
• Experience with mesh-independence studies and validation against experiments or benchmarks
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with GitHub
• English language proficiency at B2 level or above
