Freelance Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely on a part-time basis, a Freelance Mechanical CFD Engineer will help train and evaluate AI agents on fluid simulation tasks by setting up simulations, building reference solutions, and writing Python checks for results.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and run fluid simulations using CAD geometry and relevant software
• Build and verify reference solutions for AI agent training and evaluation
• Write Python checks to validate the results produced by AI agents

Required qualifications

• A degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or a related field; a PhD is preferred
• Several years of hands-on industry or research experience in CFD with tools like OpenFOAM or ANSYS Fluent
• Strong verification and validation practices, including mesh-independence studies
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with GitHub
• English language proficiency at B2 level or above
