Freelance Packaging Designer
Job Summary
Seeking a part-time Freelance Packaging Designer, this remote position will develop initial packaging concepts, utilize AI tools for rapid mockup creation, and revise designs based on client feedback while collaborating with stakeholders on project briefs.
Key responsibilities
- Develop initial packaging and label concept directions based on project briefs and participate in ideation sessions
- Use AI image and design tools to produce concept mockups and label variations quickly
- Revise concepts in response to client feedback and deliver concept boards ready for final production
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in CPG packaging design or packaging innovation, preferably in beverages
- Advanced skills with AI creative tools such as Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, and traditional design software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- A portfolio showcasing CPG packaging work and AI-assisted concept development
- Ability to work live and fast with senior executives and take direction effectively
- An established freelance or consulting business with necessary registrations and licensed software
